Project Overview
The Ray and Ginger Morris AWIM Fund was established in 2004 to support A World In Motion teacher and volunteer trainings in Allegheny, Butler and Beaver County school districts in Pennsylvania, which include North Allegheny, Mars, Beaver, Pine Richland, Freedom and Seneca Valley districts. Mr. Morris was the former executive vice-president and chief operating officer of SAE International.
Project Highlights
The Ray and Ginger Morris Fund provides:
- An experience rich in STEM Education for the students
- An opportunity for industry volunteers to share their skills and expertise with the youth in the community
- A chance for teachers to provide a hands on learning experience for their students at low cost
Project Goals and Expectations
- To enable students to be exposed to STEM careers through their interaction with an industry volunteer
- To provide trainings and kits to local school districts in order to introduce students to the STEM fields
- To educate teachers on ways to teach students about STEM concepts
