About Toyota

Toyota U.S.A. Foundation supports K-12 education programs with a focus on math, science and environmental science. The Foundation partners with leading organizations and institutes serving diverse populations across all 50 states. Toyota has been one of the strongest corporate partners of the SAE Foundation for nearly two decades, and, with its $1 million gift to the Inspiring A New Generation campaign, has contributed more than $2.5 million dollars to SAE's A World In Motion® program.

Objective

Toyota USA Foundation provided a $100,000 grant to the SAE Foundation. This grant represents the first installment of a three-year, $300,000 pledge. With this grant, the Toyota Initiative creates an opportunity for over 900 fourth and fifth grade students to participate in the A World In MotionĀ® program. The Toyota Initiative helped to grow the overall number of students reached through the program by 27%. Additionally, this grant provides a way for industry volunteers to give back to the community by volunteering their time in the classroom, as well as introduce elementary students to the different STEM fields.
